Lonely evenings and empty streets - Heavy 沉重 is a poignant anthem of longing, departure, and closure.

Heavy 沉重 is the second single from Rainbow Chan’s forthcoming EP, Stanley. An alternate telling of this song, Heavy 沉重 (Chinese Version), is included in the album with lyrics translated by Rainbow’s relatives and friends. Like an old photo dressed in a new frame, the same fragment of intimate memories reinterpreted through different lenses.


Completely self produced, Stanley is her exploration of a love past, a farewell to a city that’s changed forever. Inspired by the recorded mixtapes of her grandmother’s bedside, Stanley is like a loving cassette, re-recorded and passed down through generations of family, but always retaining traces of its warm core.
